The 2025 Kia K5 should you want a modern option to the traditional midsize car. The Kia K5 debuted in 2021 as a completely new vehicle to replace the midsize Optima. The K5 will allegedly undergo a redesign as it enters its fourth model year on the market. Kia hasn’t announced anything, but here’s what we think the 2025 Kia K5 will look like.
2025 Kia K5 Upgrade
Other enhancements are believed to feature one dual-screen speedometer and infotainment system which employs 12.3-inch screens hidden behind a single piece of glass, as well as Kia’s clever touch-sensing air conditioning and multimedia menu panel that eliminates cabin clutter.
Kia is unlikely to change the trim level and engine lineup, thus the LXS, GT-Line, EX, or GT should remain. Except for the GT, all should have a supercharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, while the GT should keep its 2.5-liter turbo four-cylinder. A hybrid engine option would be nice, but we don’t see it happening.
Kia K5 Exterior
The Kia K5 2025 outside style distinguishes out from the mundane typical sedan class. The K5 is a car you enjoy for a few minutes even getting in, with sporting intensity with an appearance that matches the Mazda 6. The Kia K5 package includes a sports front and back bumper, LED headlamps and taillights, LED turn signal indications on the exterior reflections, a rear spoiler, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Kia K5 Interior
The 2025 Kia K5 Interior Line has a robust build quality with various high-grade materials that outperform any other car. To maintain an exceptional appearance, durable materials are intentionally positioned far from high-touch locations. The interior is relatively quiet, making it ideal for prolonged journeys. The Kia K5 2025 Line features include regular faux leather textiles, upholstery, a suede-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, plus a power-adjustable driver’s seat.
2025 Kia K5 Performance
The 2025 Kia K5 base 180-horsepower engine may not surprise you, but it is more than enough for daily use. For straight lines, this equals the Honda Accord, requiring 8 seconds to accelerate from a standstill to 60 mph. Stopping from 60 mph takes a few more feet than usual, but braking is easy and smooth.
Most K5 variants are powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharger 180-hp four-cylinder engine combined with an eight-speed automated gearbox. Front-wheel driving was standard; four-wheel drive is available, but only in the GT-Line. The full-Monty GT variant features a stronger 2.5-liter turbo four-liter engine with 290 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque.
