The 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Plug-In Hybrid is a new SUV in the United States. The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Plug-In Hybrid is powered by a 2.0L Turbo Inline-4 Plug-in Hybrid engine that produces 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a four-wheel drive 8-speed automatic transmission.

For 2022, the current version of the iconic SUV has been fully revamped, and the second manufacturing year has also brought significant novelties. The 2023 model, in particular, had a new plug-in hybrid powertrain, which Jeep refers to as 4xe. The powertrain is substantially the same as in the Wrangler 4xe, and we anticipate that the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, which will be the hybrid’s second production year, will not have significant alterations. Still, we won’t rule out small changes, likes as making the powertrain available in lower trim levels and the like.

In terms of general design, the hybrid model is similar to the rest of the series. It has advantages over the current redesign and conversion to the Giorgio platform, much like gas-powered vehicles, which offers a rather engaging handle and overall driving pleasure. At the same time, the Grand Cherokee’s off-road capability remained unchanged. Furthermore, the hybrid engine is offered in Trailhawk specification, which includes adaptive air suspension, an electronic rear limited-slip differential, an electrically detaching stabilizer bar, hill climb, and descent control, and front tow hooks.

In terms of appearance, the present generation is still rather young. The 2025 Grand Cherokee will be the third model year, so it’s clear that an extensive redesign is still in the works. Still, we won’t rule out the potential of modest improvements, such as new color selections and the like.

Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Interior

The interior of the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe is the same. Simply put, it’s still too early for major adjustments, so the vehicle for next year will almost definitely be the same, which isn’t always a negative thing. The inside of the Grand Cherokee is attractive, with an appealing and modern control panel, great materials, and a decent overall build quality. It’s also worth noting that the hybrid powertrain was exclusive in mid-range and higher trim stages, meaning each Grand Cherokee 4xe comes well-equipped, with nice materials and plenty of tech options.

The seating arrangement will also stay the same. There are two rows of seats that are quite large and comfy, and they accommodate taller passengers nicely. The Grand Cherokee L is also available when you need an extra row of seats. As previously said, one of the biggest criticisms about this SUV is its short cargo room. Expect 37.7 feet of room behind the second row and 70.8 cubic feet with the back row folded. That puts it closer to small SUVs than mid-size SUVs.

Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Trim Levels

There are three trim levels accessible for the present model: Trailhawk, Overland, and Summit. The Trailhawk includes the previously mentioned off-road characteristics, as well as a slew of tech and comfort amenities. Highlights include a high-gloss black roof, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, GPS, a nine-speaker music system, and more. There are also a couple of extra packages available, including one with a larger touchscreen and a passenger touchscreen.

The Overland trim includes a hands-free tailgate, panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable directing wheel, heated front seats, improved leather upholstery, automatic braking, and other luxury features. Again, various bundles are offered, as well as single solutions.

2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Capability

To provide a lot of power and a limited all-electric range for driving, Jeep will most likely combine a 3.0-liter turbo I6 “Hurricane” engine, a battery, and an automatic transmission. The hybrid systems featured in the 2.0-liter turbocharged I4 engines included in the Jeep Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe have already been tested. It produces 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet engine power in those cars, which should be more than enough for the full-size SUV. The hybrid Grand Wagoneer’s overall power is expected to exceed 500 HP.
