Posted on

The next 2025 Volvo XC60 will include significant upgrades. According to various reports, including Motor Authority and Autocar UK, the Swedish business is developing an entirely new SUV. Volvo intends to electrify its whole fleet in the near future. The PHEV variant is the XC60 Recharge, however, the same badge is used for an all-electric XC40. The tiny crossover is now receiving an EV variant. The 2025 YM will continue to employ an internal combustion engine, most likely a 2.0-liter turbo-four.

The compact luxury SUV’s engine upgrades are not the only novelties. The 2025 Volvo XC60 will have a new appearance thanks to the remodeling. Early speculation is that the crossover will be more wagon-like. The design relies on the SPA2 platform, which also shares several solutions with the Polestar 3 model. The idea may accommodate both electric vehicles and internal combustion engines.

2025 Volvo XC60 Redesign

Although we wait for improvements to the engine, the new 2025 Volvo XC60 will be clean both inside and out. The Recharge Idea from 2021 provides the foundation for the revamp. This one gives this little, luxurious Vehicle a more estate-like appearance. Owners will adore the extra room. We’ll examine how it impacts the driving experience and what the general public thinks of the new appearance. Anyway, significant changes are coming.

Because the concept appears too futuristic, the designers will alter it for present applications. Recall that crossovers are popular not for their looks, performance, or innovations, but for their utility. Volvo, on the other hand, has never done a terrible job. The new XC60 will be loaded with the most up-to-date features and extras. We don’t even need to discuss safety. All Volvo cars have this as their number one priority.

Volvo XC60 Interior

The serene & comfortable interior of the Volvo XC60 never fails to impress any passenger. The inside of the 2025 XC60 has a manual telescoping steering column, power rear windows, cupholders, and power cargo access.

The cruise control system now has steering wheel buttons for improved ease of use. Everyone will be comfy just on the drive thanks to the vehicle’s dual-zone front automatic air conditioning, which allows the driver and front passenger to independently control the temperature to their preferences.

It’s a great feature that makes those long drives even more pleasant to have the driver’s footrest. The storage capacity of the XC60 2025 is also very large thanks to its rear door bins and cargo space illumination.

2025 Volvo XC60 Powertrain

Drivetrains were reviewed, and grades have new names. They are currently configured as B5, B6, and Recharge. These are the T5, T6, and T8 PHEV replacements. All of them use a 2.0-liter internal combustion engine as their major source of propulsion. Thanks to turbochargers and the MHEV system, the B6 combination can produce 247 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Standard front-wheel drive achieves 23/30 mpg. When you choose an AWD, the system uses a little bit more petrol.

The B6 is a more powerful version of the powertrain, with 295 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. All-wheel drive is standard on this vehicle. Power is transferred from the engine to the axles using an 8-speed gearbox. Higher outputs result in increased fuel consumption.

The Volvo XC60 Recharge 2025 is not an all-electric model like the XC40. It instead replaces an older T8 PHEV variant. Not only that, but the Recharge boosts power and torque to 455 horsepower (523 pound-feet). Because this is a plug-in hybrid, the crossover can only drive with an electric battery. In this situation, you may go 36 miles before recharging. Get used to it, because the upcoming XC60 EV will have at least 250 miles of range.
